Preservation Hall Preservation Hall offers short, close performances in a historic room without large theatre production. Preservation Hall offers jazz in an intimate space, but the music should be connected with African American communities, segregation, labour and intergenerational transmission. Volume, duration and limited seating should be anticipated. Authenticity should not be presented as frozen or detached from social conditions.
