Our Take a Llama to Lunch brings two gentle, wooly llama companions as you trek through the stunning landscapes of Staunton State Park. Your 3-mile journey winds through the historic cabins of the Staunton’s homestead where your guide will share about Colorado life in the early 1900s. The trail leads through a wildflower-filled meadow where the Ute and Cheyenne lived for thousands of years. You’ll pause at the scenic Davis Ponds for a gourmet picnic lunch featuring fresh sandwiches/wraps, trail snacks, and refreshing drinks. Your experienced guides will share fascinating llama facts and local wildlife knowledge throughout this special experience.
