During our trek, we will visit and explore the river banks, and caves while you are refreshing yourself at the Tanama River water. Immersed in our tour, interpretation, and story-telling will give you a more complete experience. After trekking through the river, we will retur tubing down the river in the calm waters until we reach more natural pools. Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave) is a Seaside Cave that we go inside but to get there we have to walk over the breathtaking 7 arches rock formations. The views of the island and the sea from this point is something to wander at. Then we go into the cave itself which immediately transports you into the past, way before the era of Colombus. The Tainos carved the entire walls of the cave and we get to see it up close. Charco Azul is perhaps even more amazing. These are river caves, formed by the passage of a river beating against the stone for millions of years. We swim thru caves, hike and cliff jump at the end (optional). The entire day is filled with fun and much adventure.
