What to expect
Come and discover one of the island’s most breathtaking landscapes! We cross the island towards the lush north coast, stopping at several scenic viewpoints that offer stunning panoramas over the coastline. Along the way, visit a traditional Tea Factory and its surrounding plantations, unique in Europe, where you’ll have the chance to taste the island’s distinctive tea. Head up to Pico do Ferro, a spectacular mountain viewpoint with one of the most impressive views over the Furnas Valley and its volcanic landscape. Then, explore the famous Caldeiras das Furnas, known for their geothermal activity, bubbling hot springs, mineral waters, and small geysers, an authentic showcase of the island’s volcanic nature. To end the day, relax on a scenic drive back to Ponta Delgada along the south coast, passing through the picturesque town of Vila Franca do Campo and enjoying coastal views that provide a perfect closing to a memorable and experience-filled journey.
