After pick-up, you’ll be transferred to the trailhead for a guided hike on Galicica Mountain, the natural boundary between Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa and one of North Macedonia’s most stunning national parks. Known for its rich biodiversity and vast landscapes, Galicica is home to the country’s highest peak, Magaro (2,254 m). The hike starts along forested slopes and is led by an experienced mountain guide. Along the way, you’ll discover diverse flora and fauna and enjoy spectacular viewpoints overlooking Lake Ohrid, nearly 500 meters below. The route passes through three traditional mountain villages, offering insight into local life and how residents historically survived the region’s harsh winters. After about 2 hours and 3 km of scenic hiking, you’ll reach a secluded beach accessible only by boat.
