What to expect
At Kyoto Sumo Club, enjoy sumo history and culture with an authentic sumo-style meal and All-You-Can-Eat & All-You-Can-Drink. At the beginning, delight in a traditional Japanese dance performed by geisha in elegant kimono, setting the tone before the sumo show begins. The show begins with a traditional geisha dance, followed by live demonstrations of exercises, techniques, and sumo etiquette. Then, watch a best-of-three match between retired sumo wrestlers. You can also step into the ring and challenge a wrestler ※Challenger spots are limited; if there are too many applicants, participants will be chosen by lottery ※This is a fun, family-friendly show, not a real training session or tournament All guests receive a souvenir gift bag as a keepsake of their sumo experience. Every seat offers an intimate view of the sumo ring.
