Starting from Pienza, it crosses some of the most famous landscapes of the Val d’Orcia, following secondary roads, trails, short paved sections and a brief stretch on a main road. The route passes through rolling hills, cypress-lined roads and isolated farmhouses before reaching the famous Gladiator Road, used as a setting for scenes from the film.
