What to expect

On the way to the northern part of the island, we will make a stop in the capital of Cyprus - Nicosia, where we will cross the border to the North part of Cyprus (obligatory documents, personal ID or passport). Here we will visit Buyuk Han - one of the best-preserved example of Ottoman caravanserai architecture and largest in Cyprus. After, we will drive to Kyrenia, the most beautiful port on the island in the Venetian style, dominated by a monumental Byzantine fortress. Enjoy optional visit to Kerynia Castle and free time for a walk around the harbour, lunch or shopping. Another wonderful place will be the Abbey of Bellapais from the 14th century, which is the best example of Gothic architecture in the eastern Mediterranean. English writer Lawrence Durell lived here and wrote a fantastic novel "The Bitter Lemons of Cyprus".
