Meersburg is nestled between vineyards. Enjoy the region's fine wines in selected beautiful places in the old town, with a view of Lake Constance or in the middle of vineyards. You will also hear facts and anecdotes about Lake Constance wine. Here on Lake Constance, the vines grow predominantly on ice-age weathered soils - you won't find that anywhere else in Germany! The terroir offers ideal conditions for producing fine wines. The mild climate, Lake Constance as a heat reservoir, the reflection of the sun's rays on the heat-loving vines and, last but not least, the warm foehn winds from the Mediterranean ensure that excellent, award-winning wines grow on Lake Constance at an altitude of over 500 m above sea level.
