Take a Grape Escape to the magical world of Riesling. Taste a mix of globally acclaimed and boutique family managed vineyards with heart and soul, showing great examples of how German wine traditions produce some of the best-respected Mosel wines in the world. During personal tastings there will be many opportunities to swirl, sniff and slurp RIESLING ( the star of the show ) in all its glory and variations from bone DRY to late harvest Riesling coming from the different soils of blue, red and grey quartzite slate. We might even find some special German Pinot Spätburgunder and cracking Sparkling along the way. I believe in open minds and open wines. It can be that more thirsty winelovers will want to join. Visit a less touristy medieval Castle to experience Rhein romantic royalty from the 1800’s. We will also visit charming old wine villages where we will find an opportunity for a quaint lunch stop and we will visit 2 historic wineries where you can learn about local mostly dry Riesling and Pinot varieties. During Dec there are also Christmas markets to stroll through for a real Glühwein Let me know if you have any special requests and I will customise the tour and while making new wine friends while traveling can be fun… I try to keep groups small and personal. I will provide some baked snacks and refreshments. The tour can also be made private on request. A seasonal fee may be requested.

Here you find a charming wine region of rolling hills with ancient wine roots and traditional wine villages with French influence. Being a warmer region the wines have more body and ripeness and it’s here beyond Riesling you will find some of Germany's best red wines. The Pfalz is also famous for some of Germany’s best cooking. On this personal tour there will be 3+ wine tasting at a mix of boutique and iconic wineries tasting over 30+ wines. After all that wine we will stop for a hearty regional lunch of Schnitzel or special local sausage. There are great seasonal vegetarian options aswell. to keep the balance and wine flowing. All wine tastings and lunch is included.
